Verbruggen is moving! Our new building is expected to be completed by mid-2025. From then on, you can find us at the Munt B industrial area in Emmeloord. Curious about the progress? On this page, you’ll find all the updates on the construction developments.

We’re moving!
Verbruggen is opening the largest palletizer factory in the world!
After more than 30 years of growth and innovation, we’re relocating on August 1st, 2025 to a brand-new headquarters in Emmeloord, directly located along the A6 highway. All of our activities will be brought together under one roof.
The new building covers 15,000 square meters and is designed with the future in mind: It will be gas-free, constructed using circular materials and partially powered by solar energy.
A great step towards more sustainability, smarter collaboration, and continued growth.

The major construction work is behind us and has made way for the fine finishing touches: wallpapering, painting, and installing baseboards. The spaces are really starting to take shape!
In the meantime, some colleagues have already started working in the new building to ensure a smooth and careful transition.
It won’t be long now before we can start working from our brand-new location. 💪

You may have seen it already: our Verbruggen logo has been installed on the building and is clearly visible from the A6 highway. We’re right on schedule and moving steadily into the finishing phase. Great progress is being made!

Our new stack is coming along at full speed! 🦾
In the big hall, the concrete is being poured, and they’ve started installing the solar panels. Just today alone, 650 cubic meters have been poured, transported by 50 trucks… In short, there’s a lot of hard work happening, and it’s clearly paying off!

The grand hall is coming to life, and the work is progressing smoothly. The installation of the underfloor heating has begun, and they’ve also started putting up the wall panels. The project is taking shape more and more, and the progress is clearly visible

We are making progress quickly. The roof and walls of our new office are placed. Different departments, such as sales, IT, HR, service and R&D will be represented in this part of the building.

Start of Construction for the Steel Structure of the Assembly Hall
In addition to the steel structure for the office, construction has now also begun on the steel structure for the assembly hall. This hall will be used to assemble, disassemble, and ship all our machines to customers worldwide.

The progress of the steel structure is on schedule, and the upper floors are now being installed. This gives a much clearer idea of the size of the new building.

Milestone in the Lead-Up to Construction: The ‘First’ Pile
On Friday, September 13, our entire team gathered at the construction site. That day, Alex Verbruggen, founder of Verbruggen Palletizing Solutions, symbolically drove the first pile into the ground. This was a significant moment, as this particular pile was engraved with our core values. In this way, they were anchored into the ground, together with the Verbruggen Academy. The construction site has now been fully prepared for the installation of the first foundation piles. The neighbors have already started this process.

Excavation Work
A portion of the ground has been excavated. Additionally, a rubble track has been laid for the piling machines and heavy trucks. In the left image, the outlines of the building, the office, and the assembly hall are already visible.

The earthmoving company has begun preparing the land for construction. In a few weeks, the installation of the foundation piles will commence.
