The Gitzo Mountaineer Series 2 4 Section Ball Head QD Kit includes the GT2542 Mountaineer Tripod and the GH3382QD Center Ball Head. The Mountaineer Series 2 4-Section Tripod is built from Carbon eXact tubing that provides the rigidity that professional photographers seek while dampening external vibrations. Though lightweight, the tripod can support dSLRs with lenses up to 300 mm. The rapid center column can be inverted for ground level shots or fully extended upward to a maximum height of 70.87". The bottom of the column has a hook that can hang extra weight for added stability. Many different heads, lenses, and cameras can be attached via the 1/4? and 3/8? attachment. The GH3382QD Center Ball Head delivers a huge degree of viewing freedom, covering a full 360° rotational field and -90° / +40° pan and tilt fields. You can modulate the range and drag in your movements with the friction control knob and independent pan and tilt locks. The included Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release plate (GS5370D) is locked with a screw-knob to give photographers more level shots; the head is also compatible with all of Gitzo's D profile plates and fits most alternative brand Arca-Swiss style plates.
